I'm building my first computer and went the Intel route for no particular reason. I'm starting with an Intel E8400 cpu and a Asus P5Q Pro Turbo mobo. My hard drive is a Western Digital oem from Newegg. I'm not sure how to prepare the drive for Windows 7 64bit installation. Also, what do I load first, the drivers for the mobo or the operating system? All help is welcome.

The drivers cannot be loaded...until after Windows is loaded.
Windows may install some/all drivers, if such happen to be in the native driver cache...it will install default video crivers (and no others) if your drivers do not happen to be in its cache.
So you will be able to visually go through the install and boot into XP.
