Diagnostic Connection and Searching

I had a rootkill removed thanks to garmanma and JSntgRvr, but web browsing has been an issue since cleaning my computer (Dell Inspirion). I was able to access the internet, but search engines would not work (allow me to access other sites through Google, Yahoo, Excite, etc). Recently, my computer will not access the internet at all. My connection shows up as "Excellent" and my girlfriend's computer (both Dells) works with the wireless connection just fine. My computer is not using the wireless connection.
