Hi, I have Vista OS and Kaspersky antivirys. It looks like the computer needs a good cleanup. I am trying to find Combofix or other good (preferably free) program to remove spy and malware from the machine. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Here is the download location for ComboFix: A guide and tutorial on using ComboFix
If you insist on using ComboFix on your own after reading the guide and tutorial, please read the following advisory as well prior to use of ComboFix: ComboFix usage, Questions, Help? - Look here
As for the maintenance cleaning, I will let our members offer their suggestions.

hi,,,, as a cleaner, i would recommend the one that does the least damage imo, and saves a backup,,,,
ccleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
and how to use it
http://www.reclaimyourgame.com/index.php?o...1&Itemid=95
use the reg fixer at your own discretion as sometimes these reg fixer/cleaners can cause more issues than they fix
good luck.

With regards to your malware issue. Please create a new topic explaining the nature of your problem in the Am I infected? What do I do? forum. Describe pop-ups and system tray or desktop icons that have appeared. Explain what is "going wrong" with your computer. Note any tools you have used and their respective results. One of our 'first responders' will reply with a course of action.
