   I have a year old hp pavilion laptop. This next part makes me kringe.... the other day i dropped my laptop from my hands about 2 feet to the ground. after that i had to hold the charger in a specific spot to make it work. I was worried i had bent the insides of the charging part on the computer, but then i noticed that the actual end of the charger had broken. i bought a new charger, and it keeps the laptop on but will not charge. im frustrated, because i used to use my laptop alot without the cord.

The charger I bought is HP, not and offbrand, and it isn't overheating. Can anybody help me?... im new to forums.

thank you

Batteries are expensive so if you could find someone with the same system, you could swap the battery and see if the problem goes away.

The damage you are speaking of is very hard to fix without replacing some pieces.

Good luck.

If the laptop works with the power plug but won't charge the battery there are 2 reasons. 1. The battery is damaged or 2. The charging circuit/motherboard is damaged. Try a new battery.
