I have a fairly insignificant, but still puzzling problem with Open Office. Whenever I have Open Office open, and an Open Office window is the main window open, none of the tools in my computer's media strip work. My media strip will only work if I minimize the window, or bring another window to the front. Does anyone know why this is, or if there's any way of fixing it?

Kind of a similar problem here:

It could possibly be the type of keyboard you use

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

No, I don't think it is the keyboard... I probably should have specified all of this information in my original post, but my computer is a Gateway P-173X FX edition (and thus a laptop). So, it isn't even part of the keyboard it self, really... It's the media strip. Also, when I used Microsoft Office, I had no problems. Only with Open Office.
