Hello, this is my first post ... I have been recovering from a maleware attack very nicely, but everytime I try to run MBAM, SpyBot, or Avira the BSOD appears with and iastor.sys driver error. While watching MBAM scan, i noticed a simple photo's file it froze on and gave me the BSOD. Wondering if I could delete the folder of photo's I didn't need I downloaded a simple wipe program to see if I could clean the folder, that froze. After thinking awhile I decided to run chkdsk c: /r, which began at reboot and promptly froze at stage 4 checking files. Forced reboot to recovery console failed, forced reboot to safe mode with networking failed in BSOD, finally restarted normally at last known good recovery. I need to find a GOOD HDD repair program, something better than chkdsk, which froze. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated ... I just thought ... could I ignore a HDD sector in BOOT.INI until I am able to replace the disk?
