BleepingComputer.com: Looking around for a desktop, have a question.

Would I need to purchase anything "special" in order for this computer to be able to be used through a router? I'm not sure what to be looking for in the specs.

I'm the last questioner before you so I noticed your enquiry--and I'm surely not an expert--but if you're planning to connect that computer through the router with a cable (i.e., the PC would be the direct link to the {I'm assuming wireless} router), then you shouldn't have a problem (although you might need to purchase the cable ). If, however, you wanted to connect that computer to the router in a wireless manner then, from what I read at the link you provided, you'd need a wireless card. Basically, the computer about which I read is ready for either a dial-up modem or a cable modem, but not a wireless modem. I'll keep track of your thread, and hopefully someone better able to answer your question will post a reply. By the way, that PC looks pretty nice.

That PC comes with Vista. Get something with windows 7.

Okay that is what I thought I would need but wasn't sure. I recently purchased a laptop for school and in doing so I am to receive a free Windows 7 upgrade and that upgrade is compatible with this computer so I don't really have to worry about 7 I don't think.
