Friends computer popped and died...changed the power supply...emptied case of all components cleaned out all dust and re-installed everything. Upon startup XP loading screen pops up and then blue screen with 0.0000007f (0.00000000 0.00000000, 0.00000000, 0.00000000) can not figure out what is going on....can start in safe mode. I dont know what else to try. Appreciate any help

Note that hardware failure is listed...it would help if you would list the key compoents of this system which has had problems.
I have to ask...what made you think that changing the power supply...would prove to be a good move?

Power Supply went out. that is what popped...basically all the computer has is a motherboard dvd drive and hard drive...thats it...i dont know any of the devices that have had trouble in the past if any cause its not my computer. it is a dell dimension 3000

Have you tried running any of the Dell diagnostic tools?
I would always try to run at least a hard drive test/diagonal of some sort, whether it's included in the Dell diagnostics or not.
