Help
As of November 12, 2009 my computer has been acting up and I have 4 updates that need to be downloaded, but they won't update. It keeps giving me error 646. I don't know how to resolve this issue and I need my computer for my college classes.

hi,,,, try the install with the firewall turned off,,,, if successfully dont forget to turn it back on after the restart,,, if this does not work then try a manual install by going to the M/S site and search for the updates and download and install,,,

I have tried everything. I called Dell and they had me go into the prefetch and said there were 113 virus's, but why did my internet security not catch it. I was afraid to pay anything because of identity fraud and all.

and how do they know by looking in the prefetch ????
if you have downloaded some software thats showing 113 nasties after a scan and now wants you to buy it to get rid of these nasties,,,,, then dont sa its a con,,, known as scare ware,, scares you into parting with your money,,,,,
