I'd go with AC 2 and MW2 on the 360. If AC2 is anything like the first (I don't have 2 yet), it looked better on the 360. The reason I recommend MW2 on the 360, is simply because LIVE is better than ps3 online. Yes you have to pay for LIVE, but you get a better quality online experience.

From words on the street, Assassin's Creed 2 is much better than the first. Some of the repetition is gone, they improved some of the things that people had trouble with, and (out of what I've seen since I haven't played either) you can actually swim :D

Modern Warfare 2, I only play offline since I don't really care for online capabilities on consoles. But for that, it's still pretty good. Some of the ally AI is still a little stupid (but how can you make good ally AI? I have yet to hear one that's actually good). The Special Ops portion is also pretty good, even though some of them requires that you play 2 player, so...yeah.

As for which systems to get them on, it's all up to other opinions.

That's just my 2 cents.

i have MW2 on the 360 (better for FPS, and my little brother can play it while I'm gone with the PS3 to college) and AC2 on the PS3 (got it with me).

I personally find Modern Warfare 2 a lot of fun, both the Story Mode and Online Multiplayer is fun, but from what I heard Assasin's Creed isn't bad either.
