For some reason during the last week or so, when I go into explore to search for a particular file, and while I am connected to the Internet, the "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" message appears. Details of the error message are:
App Name: explorer.exe
App Version: 6.02.2900.3156
Module Name: nemp4splitter.ex
Module Version: 4.9.4.1
Offset: 0002a56b
This message appears when I am browsing through the folder that contains various video folders, including ISO, VOB files, and avi files.
This problem never used to appear (for the last 4 years), until now.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing it and how to get rid of it?
I have Zone Alarm firewall, ESET NOD32 antivirus, and Counter Spy antispyware running. They are updated regularly (except for Zone Alarm for which I get a new version about once per year), and scans are performed daily. I ran HiJack This and nothing unusual showed up.
Thanks.
