Help
Laptop melted down, salvaged two HDs. Bought an external case, plugged in "D:", works, information is accessible. Plugged in "C:", everything is accessible except the important stuff. All of the info under folder name "Nick" (me) is "Access is denied". I thought perhaps it was because I was always logged in as an "administrator" on the previously working laptop and that info was password protected. My problem is (if that is the case) I don't know how or where to enter the password to open the folder and remove that restriction. Any help you can offer is much appreciated.

It's just the nature of XP and Document/Settings folders. No password, no encryption involved.
