Hi
recently my windows live messenger indicated there was a update available and being busy I did nothing. Then a few days ago I could not sign in until I got updated. The next time I tried to sign in I found that... "an updated version of Windows Live Messenger has been downloaded", but when I tried to install it, I got a message to say that my windows installer needs updating before I can install it. So then I looked on the web for a windows installer update and was taken to a registry fix site. I found a line which referred to windows installer up date, but there was no installer update download option, not without installing the reg fix option. Also my son sent me a link that took me to RegCure with the same result. Can I get an update without installing a registry fixer application? All I want is an up date on windows installer for XP (I think 32bit?) so I can get back on messenger.
