I'd personally recommend GIMP as a free photo-editing program, however as to resizing more than one photo at a time (im assuming you mean resizing multiple photos simultaneously) i personally do not know of a way. Though if there are some script-fu savvy people on these forums they might be able to make something that will re-size the photo in one click.

Irfanview includes "batch" processing, which also includes resizing of images.

Try Faststone Image Viewer, also free
FastStone Image Viewer , Screen Capture, Photo Resizer ...
greate for browsing images, resize, crop, convert formats, recolor, slideshow.

Batch convert mode can do some pretty smart things with resizing, renaming and so on.

Thank you.I've DL Irfanview & now I've got to give it a try..
I've got a couple of them now so I just got to find the one
thats the easiest to follow.
Do you know if this program has a setting so not to make copies of the changes to resizing.I want to resize the original without any copies. Is there an option for that on Irfanview? Thank you for your help..

Yes, Irfanview has an option to "overwrite existing files".

Look for it in the batch conversion/rename section - Advanced Options - "Miscellaneous" section (lower right).

Well, I am using VSO Image Resizer to manage my digital photos, I really like to use this software, Because its organizes my photos by changing their resolution or moving them within my hard drive. And I personally think that, It is the perfect tool for resize, compress, convert, create copies, create thumbnails, import or organize my photos.
