Hi, recently reformatted my laptop, but now my DVD does not write, I have been trying to burn DVD´s and it just wont accept this kind of disc, Then i try CD´s and don´t have any problems burning them. I downloaded the only drive for this device from Dell´s page, but still can not get it to work. Any suggestions? I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, by the way.

I didn't think a combo drive was supposed to burn DVDs. If I'm wrong, you have a hardware problem.

According to LG, the GCC-T10N is a CD-RW/DVD-Rom drive. Meaning, it will burn cd's and read dvd's.

Hope this helps,
