hwupdchk.exe ? this process keeps eating up my cpu...

Can anyone please tell me what this is? it is called hwupdchk.exe and it keeps eating up all of my cpu. Sometimes there are one, two, three, or four of these running at the same time. I can't figure out where its coming from. Please help!

Do you or have you ever had McAfee installed? It would seem to belong to McAfee HackerWatch.

Do not use McAfee products so can not be much help beyond this.
