I tried to download software like Winzip, but it was called something else. It loaded my computer up with about 10 programs, everything but Winzip. I have deleted most of the files, but a couple files cannot be deleted. The first one is an icon on my desktop, titled shredder with the Windows waving window inside the icon. I right click the mouse and a small window opens with 2 choices. OPEN & CREATE SHORTCUT. I can't get rid of it. Any ideas?
Thanks, Dave

If it's not in add/remove programs, you may have to go to windows explorer and delete them manually.

http://www.revouninstaller.com/

  • Please download Revo Uninstaller.
  • Extract the ZIP file to a folder and run revouninstaller.exe from there! (You can copy that folder to an USB Mass storage drive and use it without any installation required!)
  • There are two ways to uninstall programs with Revo Uninstaller:
Important: Please, try to close the application you want to uninstall first!
    • Select the application in the list of installed applications and press the Uninstall button in the toolbar.
    • Right-click the application and click the Uninstall command in the displayed menu. Follow the instructions.

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
