Hello, having an XP problem here,
When I turn on my pc running XP sp3, it starts up normally up until it hits the screen where it has the loading bar and says Windows XP with the logo. About halfway through this it goes to a BSoD and restarts instantly. I have tried restarting into safe mode, but it does it here too. This has been going on for about a week now and I have no clue what to do.
Any ideas?

System manufacturer and model?
Do you have MS Genuine XP CD...or access to the XP Recovery Console built into your system?

Whichever you prefer...try to run chkdsk /r command on the Windows partition.
How to use CHKDSK in the XP Recovery Console - http://pirules3.14.googlepages.com/recovery_console_chkdsk
Let's see if that helps.

Running chkdsk /r did not say that it found any errors, and did not fix the problem.

Windows Advanced Options Menu
Getting into Windows Safe Mode
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm
Step 1
Choose "Last known good configuration that worked", and press the Enter key. The computer will attempt to load Windows.
If Windows does not start, try the same thing again .... and continue trying for 10 times, before you rule that option out as a means of getting your OS up and running again, normally.
Why 10 times? Based on past experience, a successful result is sometimes achieved after several consecutive failed attempts.
Step 2 "Disable automatic restart on system failure" and press the Enter key.
Your system will attempt to restart normally, but when it crashes, it will not re-start. Instead, you will see a BSOD with error message.
Record the error message in full detail, and post in this thread.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Test the memory (RAM).
To make a bootable CD with memtest86+
Direct download: Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)
http://www.memtest.org/download/4.00/memtest86+-4.00.iso.zip
Extract the zip file, burn the .ISO image to CD and boot from it. Allow it to run.
There MUST be NO errors what-so-ever.
If you see an error, stop the test: Test each stick of RAM separately to sort the good from the bad.
A minimum test for some confidence in the result, should be 7 full passes (each "pass" is a series of different types of tests), with NO errors.
Allow memtest86+ to run for 24 hours for maximum confidence in the test result.
