Ssd and apps? ex..ssd and itunes

f you ave windows and your apps on the ssd (ex itunes)

and your music is on another drive like a 1tb hdd

will that eliminate he purpose of the ssd?

im sure the app will still load faster but will it hang when it trys to search for the songs to put in your library?
