Good morning!

I went thru the Freeware Replacements For Common Commercial Apps and there are quite a few!

The more there are the more I get confused.

For Acrobat I'm looking at an alternative to convert into .pdf , combine them and edit them with forms.

The Photoshop alternative would mainly be used to resize, crop, converting to black & white, working the colors - in other words I've never used Photoshop very deeply.

Would someone be so kind to suggest?

Many thanks for your kind assistance

B.

I've used Paint.NET for years as a freeware alternative to Photoshop. It suits my needs very well:

I don't know a free PDF solution that meets all your needs (especially the form editing feature), but maybe somebody else does.

For image editing there are many programs:

For simple editing/optimization tasks (resize, crop, color settings) you can use for example Paint.NET or Irfanview.

GIMP has a lot of additonal features, and is therefore also suitable for more complex image editing tasks.

I'm a fan of those, too.

I do know a few folks who also like LightBox - Advanced Digital Image Editor, too. It has a free version.

Might be worth a try.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

Just to tell you that my daughter is quite happy with GIMP, she prefers it to Photoshop.
