Hi
I have a blackberry curve 8330. My kids were using it ... without my permission and set a screen password... Now I can't unlock it. I have 2 remaining trys... I went to verizon (bought from them) & they said that the phone will erase itself. Is that true? I have a card in it... so I think I have the photos, but what about the contacts, all the msgs, and of course the calendar? I can prove its mine and not stolen.. Or am I just out of luck... As its fairly new.. I haven't installed the CD pc programs... having trouble with my laptop...

We're getting into a grey area here with forum rules and circumventing security measures
Seeing how this was in their FAQ's :
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How...y_BlackBerry%3F
Sounds like I would be having a serious talk with my kids

Mark
why won't my laptop work?
Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

That is referring to unlocking the SIM card for use on other GSM carriers. That does not refer to unlocking the phone in the event someone locks it.
It would be a forum violation for me to tell you how to unlock your phone. However there is a website that could possibly help you its named after a very addictive drug and a Berry. ( I can't be specific because it would violate forum rules) google search helps too.

Thanks for the info. My grandkids are here this weekend... They are an awesome gift. So, I've not had much time to check out your advice. I will right now, then go to bed as they will be up at the crack of dawn - 5yr old twins and 8 yr old.
I'll let you know if i'm successful. I have all the calendar events for all of them for the next 6 months, doc visits, dates for school events, contacts with clients, etc. as well as just finished entering in phone numbers from people oh well, it will be a mess to not be able to get that info.
