Being a former soldier who has seen combat, I cannot fathom the traumatizing effect of being fired upon by one of your own AT HOME. Much less one by of your own who is an officer and supposed 'leader'. The disembowelment of trust in leadership within the ranks is a wound that will never heal.

Have a couple close Friends from another board down there as well. One an Army Vet. The other has a step-daughter on base. Guess she is OK but the whole base is in shock.

This is a terrible thing. Pray for those.
Adding to what animal said it is no easy thing to have to bear down on a fellow soldier either.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?
