Thinkinf of doing LFS, so I can learn from the ground up...

...but the site says in order to read the book on how to build my own LFS distro, I need to already have linux? Bwuh?!

And the actual hard copy (what, no pdf?) isn't in print or for sale anymore. How's a guy supposed to learn? Or have I missed something critical, here?

...oh, sweet Mary, Mother of God... how did I miss that typo in the title?

You don't need Linux to read the book.
