I have a problem with the Camera and Scanner Wizard. It won't find my camera anymore. It does not show up it the Control Panel Under "Scanners and Cameras" either.
I uninstalled my Kodak M893IS Camera and Kodak Easyshare Software. and reinstalled it. Easyshare finds my camera, but I do not like to use it. I prefer to use the Windows system as I can put my pics where I want them without searching for them..
Dell Dimension 8300, XP SP3, all up to date. Intel P4 3 gig, 120 gig HD with 75% free.

There's an option on the left to Add An Imaging Device.

Ensure that the device is on when attempting to have Windows recognize it.

I have tried that many times. It does not have my camera listed and when I click on the "Have Disk" button I go thru the process of not finding the info on the disk.
I have the same problem with my All-in-One HP Printer.
Neither one shows up in the Cotrol Panel in the Printer or Scanner/Camera folders.
Printer/Scanner both work, but can not get into any of the Software for it.

Then try installing the camera.
Then reinstall the printer and its software.

I am trying to completely remove HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one Printer/Scanner/Copier from my computer. It got corrupted and I used Add/Remove and the The Installation CD does not work to remove it. It is not in ADD/Remove list. I put in the CD and it tells me that I have a newer one installed. I used Search for all the Files and I have 164 of them that all are the same with the same date. Do you know of a way for me to totally remove Photosmart from my computer so I can reinstall it???
I was able to get rid of all the Kodak problems and my computer finds the Camera when I plug it in. I can use the Scanner and Camera Wizard again for my pictures.
Thank you......

As for the software...first, try removing it in safe mode. If that's ineffective, use something like Revo Uninstaller or another reliable utility that removes stubborn/damaged files.
Cancel that
Or...you can try HP's suggestions, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...464&lang=en

It took about 1 week to get it all done. Had to repeat things a couple of times for it all to work.
Had to manually remove entries from Add/Remove programs.
Remove entries from Printers and Faxes folder.
Remove entries from Registry.
Remove folders from C:Windows.
They gave me all of the things to remove. Long list of things..
A lot of digging to find what they wanted, but found them ...
