It should be able to play all new games at least low or medium settings. It might also be wise to change the power supply to the 600W one, just in case you ever want to add more components.
You can disable anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering for better performance in games if you don't mind jagged edges.

It depends on what you want to upgrade. It can be difficult to change a CPU because you have to find one which is compatible with your Motherboard socket, then you have to apply the right amount thermal paste before adding the heatsink. Video cards, sound cards, and other things which are mounted on the rear of the computer are usually straight-forward. RAM is somewhat easy to upgrade but you still need to find the type and speed of RAM your MB supports. Hard drives and optical drives are easy to add because you simply mount them in the front then put the cables into the back.

well, you really should go with the 600W power supply then. I would suggest waiting quite a while to upgrade the RAM. There are only two RAM slots and a 4GB stick is ridiculously expensive. 4GB is more than enough for anything today. A good choice if you want to upgrade the graphics card is the Radeon HD 5770. You should be able to just physically replace the card and then download the drivers to make it work.

What is your computer model? If it's custom, what is your case, motherboard and PSU?
