launching .exe files

first sorry for my bad english



i have win7.. i launch one .exe file with notepad and now opens all .exe files in notepad

how i can change this back to default???

You haven't said which programming language you are using?

I can't see how you can open any file with notepad unless you saved it as a *.bat file.

In VB6 you can use the ShellExecute API call to open any type of file that is registered in the registry. :thumbsup:

in using english programming language
i open one .exe file with notepad(open with..) and then all files opening in notepad

i tried some in regedit but no luck

You need to remove the default association. What OS are you using?

Go to Control Panel, Programs, Defaults.

If you dig around you should find where you notepad is associated with .exe files. You can un-associate from there.

in the list of files defaults there is no .exe file i try "set program access and compoter defaults" but this open me notepadand some codes
