In XP I keep running the network setup program. I use a Linksys router. Have had this setup for a very long time. I make sure windows firewall is off. I can't seem to create the network or to create or find a new network place. I just found the fakespypro torjan and have used various software to get rid of it. It seems to work until I reboot.

It is reinstalling itself and all you are doing is getting rid of the easy parts. You should post over in the HijackThis Logs and Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal section. That link takes you right to the page explaining what to do to get help. Good Luck
