Friend of mine has a Dell computer running Windows XP Professional, Version 2000 Service Pack 2.
She recently while on the internet received the fake "you have viruses on computer click here to fix" message and installed (from what she can remember it was called) Windows Security virus program. She then discovered it caused all kinds of problems with her computer. It took a while to be removed it and hopefully now her IT person was able to do so.
This is her problem now. Originally she had Wordperfect 8 and does many documents in it. She never had problems with it before the above incident.
Now however, every time she tries to re-save documents that she perviously saved she gets the following error message "Access denied: You do not have rights to do this".
She and the IT person have tried to repair Wordperfect using the cd-rom option. They have uninstalled and reinstalled Wordperfect - actually did that a couple of times. Yesterday, IT uninstalled Wordperfect 8 and instead installed Wordperfect 11. They thought everything was fine but this morning the same error comes up. As you can image she is very fustrated with this and is ready to rip her hair out.
Not having Wordperfect is not an option.
Hopefully someone here can help me out so I can help her save her hair. :-) Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks
