What is this 3-way 3.5mm Splitter Called?

I have a set of Dell 5650 5.1 surround sound speakers. They originally came with an adapter so that pseudo surround sound can be played with a single stero 3.5mm jack. My cable has internal wire issues and has to be bent to play right. I was wondering what this adapter is called so that I may purchase a new one. Posted Image

It looks to be a 1/8 mono Y cable with three outputs. Is this so you can connect the 5.1 speakers to a computer with only a stereo sound card?

yeah, I just want it to be able to use all of my speakers with a stero jack on my laptop.

I have never seen a adapter like that and looking at the picture is a little confusing

Found one well an adapter that should work anyways. That adapter will work but you will need the cabling that goes with it. You can find that at any radio shack. You will need one 3.5mm stereo to RCA and 3x3.5mm mono patch cables.

Where did you get the picture from to post it?

It was from the pdf manual online for my speaker set.

And that game console adapter would work, I have the necessary RCA patch cables to use with stero sound. Thanks!
