For the CPU, go with a Phenom II. It's a huge upgrade from the Phenom. If you don't need something that powerful, the Athlon II is good and will save you some money. I don't think the one on your list even includes a heatsink.
AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus
AMD Phenom II 925 Deneb

Motherboard: ASUS M4A77TD Pro AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard - This motherboard supports the latest AM3 processors, DDR3, and Crossfire with ATI cards. $89 (Before $10 mail-in rebate)
Memory: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 - You need DDR3 memory for the above motherboard. $79
CPU: Here is where you have a choice. If you're a gamer, you will want a CPU with a speed over 2.8GHz. You can use a dual core if you use slightly older games, but a quad core will work well with some newer and upcoming games. You can use a triple core CPU if you want a mix of value and performance. If you want a dual core, the AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz is a good choice. For a triple core, the AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz. There are a few choices in the quad core range, but either the AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz or the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz will work. The 955 is more expensive because it is an unlocked Black Edition and has a higher clock speed. $102 - $180

Furthermore, change the monitor. Emachines is a second spelling for garbage. Take a look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824009158
You won't even be able to use the computer without a video card. There is no onboard GPU.
