What do you guys think? I want a very fast computer in general, and it may be used for gaming. if so i will add a video card to the list.

First, change your motherboard to one which supports an AM3 processor such as the ASUS M4A77TD Pro.
For the CPU, go with a Phenom II. It's a huge upgrade from the Phenom. If you don't need something that powerful, the Athlon II is good and will save you some money. I don't think the one on your list even includes a heatsink.

If you are looking to do any kind of gaming you should get a decent video card. The Radeon HD 4850 can play almost any game a high resolutions and it is really cheap. That is probably the best value you can get right now.

I agree with both previous posts, though you can also consider the 4870. Do not get the regular Phenom I's as they are not that great. Also, if you're gaming, avoid the Athlon II's, they are nowhere near as good as the Phenom II's. You will also need an operating system (64-bit, of course) and a power supply, also the monitor isn't great. For a monitor, I would suggest the ASUS VW224U Black 22" 2ms. A good motherboard, memory, CPU combo is this:

CPU: Here is where you have a choice. If you're a gamer, you will want a CPU with a speed over 2.8GHz. You can use a dual core if you use slightly older games, but a quad core will work well with some newer and upcoming games. You can use a triple core CPU if you want a mix of value and performance. If you want a dual core, the AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz is a good choice. For a triple core, the AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz. There are a few choices in the quad core range, but either the AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz or the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz will work. The 955 is more expensive because it is an unlocked Black Edition and has a higher clock speed. $102 - $180

a 5750 or a 5770 might be a better choice than a 4000 series so your ready for dx 11

There are few games that use DX11 and given the speed of a 5750, you would need a serious CPU to avoid a bottleneck. The 5770 is also a good choice. It matches, in most games, the speed of a 4870 but is smaller, cooler, and is near the same price point. The SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 is a nice card.

Thanks guys, ive changed some things around, so what do you think now? I'm pretty sure i followed most of your advice. Video card is still not included, i will be buying it seperately at a later time. any final suggestions here?

You won't even be able to use the computer without a video card. There is no onboard GPU.

You need a GPU, the 5770 would work as would the 5850. For a little more you can get a better monitor, such as the ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen or the ASUS VW198T Black 19" 5ms Widescreen. You also need a copy of Windows. The 7's Home Premium edition would do well. If you're going to get the 5770 or the 5850, then the power requirements are the same. For a single graphics card, I would suggest getting the CORSAIR CMPSU-650HX 650W or the SILVERSTONE ST70F 700W. If you're planning on going for a Crossfire setup either during the build or later on, you may want to get a power supply that can handle two cards. For that, I suggest the CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W or the SILVERSTONE ELEMENT ST75EF 750W.

after considering all your suggestions, this is what i have. i think its pretty good, and it wont be used for much gaming. ive got an optical drive for it.

I agree with RainbowSix's suggestion, that is a very nice heatsink. I have one too. It is inexpensive and efficient for the price.
