BleepingComputer.com: Is there a tool that will detect incomplete files

Hi All
Did a windows Raw Fresh install on windows xp pro with two hard drives.Saved a bunch of files on slave drive from main drive.Used the windows file wizard to save the files to slave drive,then disabled the slave drive and did the fresh install and enabled the slave drive.Everything went like clock work to this point,but when the file wizard installed the files back to the main drive they are all incomplete now I want to get rid of them.But it's going to take me a long time to do it manually,so if there is a software tool that can find and remove all the incomplete files it will save me a bunch of time.Thanks for any information that may save me sometime in removing the bad files .Raner

I have 2 disk cleaning programs on my computer, Max Registry cleaner and Webroot Internet Security Essentials which has a disk cleaning tool in it but try using the built in disk clean up tool provided by MS.
Go Start--> All Programs--> Accessories--> System Tools--> Disk Cleanup. A window will appear and Cleanup will "calculate" how much crap you've got on your computer. When the calculation is finished it will show where the crap is. Check all the areas you want cleaned and click 'OK' and then 'Yes'.
You may be surprised how much rubbish it finds. It also will compress old files you don't use very often any more to give you back space on your HD.
I do this disk clean every week and it always finds something the others didn't. Always good to do a defrag after this as well (also in System Tools).

lancruiser I agree with using Disk Cleanup. It's a good place to start. I do use a after market defrager tool because it's much faster (Diskeeper Pro. Premier). Has many options.

I guess I'd like to know what an "incomplete file" is.

I know of no tool that can determine if a file is "complete" or "incomplete". As long as the file structure looks like that of a file...how can anything determine such?
