Dell Latitude C600; just added additional 256mb to existing 128mb and now it won't boot up. The original 128 works in either of the slots so it's not a faulty slot.

Any suggestions please?

Does it give any errors?
Was the ram the same name brand as the original?

What OS are you using?(Windows 98,XP?)

Thanks

Hey cgm3....

Is the ram the same ecc?
Is it the same cls?
Did you get the ram from a reputable dealer?

Crucial has a "finder" you put in your machine's info, it gives you the ram suggested. You don't have to buy there, but do some research on the store you purchased from.
