I'm using Avira Premium Security Suite and Spywareblaster, is Avira a anti-virus/malware program or do I need to download another program to be protected? if so what are the best choices?

thank you

Avira is an antivirus so you are fully protected there. You should only have one av installed.

You could add malwarebytes free version as an on demand anti malware scanner just in case something gets through.
