Educate Me: Firefox v. SeaMonkey

Maybe I'm missing the broader strokes, but I just saw a news item about Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.0 being released... What's the difference between SeaMonkey and Firefox? Just the e-mail/rss plugin that SeaMonkey has?

I've just always used Opera and web-based mail... But I'm considering a shift to linux with the latest Ubuntu release (new nvidia drives = widescreen support finally?), and might as well check out my other options, since 90% of my time on any computer is spent connected to, and consuming media from, the net.

The short story is

For instance, what would have been Mozilla 1.8 is SeaMonkey 1.0.


SeaMonkey is a continuation of the original full suite that was known as Mozilla.
