Hi, New here
So I picked up some virus or something. I managed to do a system restore and I have everything working ok, but I would like to try and clean my laptop any way. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1521 with vista. The symptoms were a black screen after after booting.
Could someone please suggest what I could do to clean my computer?
I would also like to try and make my machine run faster. I am sure it is clogged up with many useless programs. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

I use ccleaner, free to download, also, use disk cleanup utility and defragment tool in Vista, the last may take an hour, just go get some lunch and come back later,Cheers! Alan
