I have a private domain name for my small business. Somehow, someone has figured out how to produce emails with a bogus "from address" using name@mydomain.com (not my actual name & domain name shown here) pushing everything from viagra to knock off watches. Some of the bogus emails from "ME" use real account names I have set up, while others use gobbled letters and numbers followed by my domain name. My domain name issuer is a large warehouse company online and gives me some free email accounts with that. I haven't been able to get any answers from their site and have yet to speak to a real person. My website host also issued some free email accounts too. I already called the latter and they said it happens all the time ... absolutely NO help.

This is a huge problem because I read that these outfits broadcast thousands if not millions of these. Some of my intended recipients have told me they blocked my address as spam. And microsoft has sent messages saying emails from my domain were being blocked for egregious usage. Eventually after enough time passed MS allowed me again and the emails from bogus seemed to have stopped. But here it is a year later and I'm seeing a huge bogus campaigne again.

How does this happen? How can I stop it? Is there somewhere to report it? If I change domain name host will that cure the problem?
