I have an HP DV2000 (listed as DV2500 on bottom sticker) that i had to format after a major virus issue. Unfortunately i had to even format the recovery partition so i can not back up from there.

I was able to reload mostly all the basic updates from the site. The only things i have with a yellow (!) are Coprocessor and SM Bus Controller. The main issue right now is that my sound is not able to play. I have tried the sound driver Updates but to no success.
In the device manager there is also NO 'Sound,Video and game controller' tree.
If anyone can shed some light on this that would be appreciated.

~Thanks again again

Thanks for the relpy Figgis but i have tried going to the HP site. no luck in the drivers there. Perhaps i will have to find a way to un delete the Recovery partition and hope that its not too infected...
Anyone know a program that has that function?

Thanks for the reply. I have gone there before but did recheck some. The Bios on that page and on the three on the Dv2000 page all say not for my laptop. Think thats why i still dont have the sound tree in the device manager.
I also still have the yellow (!) for Coprocessor and SM Bus Controller.
Any Ideas?
