When I open Garry's Mod to run, it gets to the first loading picture then crashes, it says hl2.exe has stopped working. I am frustrated with it, any ideas?

It just stops working, says HL2 has stopped working, then the info area says, An error has caused the program to stop working and must be shutdown, or something like that. I'm thinking it's a windows vista issue but I really have no idea.

Bleepingcomputer, I would open a new topic with this issue but I already tried and was told not to, so I'm not sure what to do since no one has replied to my problem, any ideas?

Is this a blue screen [BSOD] crash? Do you have the entire error message? Is this the only time the computer crashes?
Has it always done this with the game or is it a new development?
