Is there any reason why a non-system disk would cause a machine to NOT boot up? Freezes at the splash screen stage. Remove the disk and it boots fine.

Thanks!

My experience is that a bad drive of any sort...may create such problems.

I would first check Event Viewer for any errors indicating "Disk0" or the like. If such exist, double-click on the Event Viewer error and post the details here.

This is prob the bios options for the boot sequence. Make sure only your primary drive and maybe CD are set as the first boot device then it will not try and boot from the non system disk.
