Hi, I'm having trouble with my laptop display. The display driver (nvlddmkm.sys) often crashes and the screen blackouts/distorts and it's getting worse. Most of the time I cannot load my Vista. Could I have some help quick? Thank you.

I've tried re-installing the same driver from the makers' site so many times but to no avail! Diagnostics cannot repair it and it always say that there's a bad driver. I also cannot do system restore as I don't have any restore points. I'm now using safe mode to surf the net. Could I have some expertise please? Thanks.

bah! lol, no wonder you were no help. I was asking the wrong guy (just another systems engineer). You're specialised in hardwares and that's why you gave me such a general software solution that an average person would think of. Nice try though  Where's a software engineer when you need one?

ok ,,,, try this,,, i have seen display driver issues with lappys and it turned out to be the sound drivers that were causing the issues ,,,, try uninstalling the sound drivers and re booting,,,, then if its not worked on re install on boot look for updates to the sound drivers,,,, if this is still not working then look for a bios update for your board then backup the pc cross your fingers and flash the bios,,,,, try not to fook it up eh :D
wouldn't want that,,,
good luck.
