I have a Pentium D running at 2,66ghz and my FSB is running at 533mhz. As far as i know i can increase BUS speed (x 20 multiplier) which increases both the CPU and the FSB speed. But can i increase the FSB speed without affecting the CPU? And should that be done?
Only other FSB control i have in the BIOS is the FSB voltage.

Sure, as long as your BIOS supports the changes.

You can bump your FSB up, and at the same time cutting down your multiplier to maintain a stock/near stock CPU speed. If you want to bump your memory bus, you can boost the memory bus while changing the mem/FSB divider. If you do bump the FSB, your memory speed will also oncrease, unless you change the memory divider. If this is a prebuilt unit, it is likely the BIOS won't allow the changes you want to make.

Yeah, i can't change the multiplier, it's an intel CPU so it's locked. What would increasing the FSB voltage do?
