About 1 month ago i had to re install Windows XP on my daughters machine. I thought I had everything back up and running correctly but she has informed me that it will not play a DVD. Music cd's play jus fine.
"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed"
Compaq Presario 061 running Windows XP service pack2
HL-DT-ST DVDRRW-GSA-H20L DVD/CD
I have searched at Compaq for info and i have also updated all drivers................. I am stumped on how to get the DVD back up and running for her. Plz and info, direction , whatever is great!!!
