McAfee - How do I stop the pop-up Renewals? McAfee is creating more pop-ups than a virus

Hi,

I have McAfee installed and have renewed for a few years. Concidering it didn't catch the last virus I had (Which allowed me to find this great place) I don't want to renew. I am happy with MBAM and Super-antiV.

How do I get it to stop asking me if I want to renew? It seams like every hour it has a pop-up asking me if I want to renew now or later. I click later. It's worse than a virus.

How do I uninstall McAfee or not renew it?

Hello and welcome.. First I am moving this from XP to tje antivirus forum.

MBam and SUPER A are not A/V's so you will need one. You will need to remove McAfee to stop that. Then go here and try one of the free ones.

McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool (MCPR.exe)

The uninstaller software removes all traces of editions 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, McAfee Total Protection, McAfee Internet Security Suite PC Protection Plus VirusScan Plus Wireless Protection.

Now go here to the BC list and installl an A/V
