Hi ... I was wondering, if there was a reason that the "Hijack this" threads were posted in the VNP link ... not many people are able to post in them, and it makes it VERY difficult for me (and others) to find a post we can help out with when there's 7 pages of HJT logs....

I know that with IPB you can stop some boards from showing up in "View New Posts."

Anyway, just a suggestion.

I am very well aware of it, which is why I made my suggestion. And this is that the HiJack this forum be removed from "View New Topics", that would save myself, and other people a LOT of time so we don't have to sift through 5-10 pages of HJT threads.

Grinler - thanks! Between 7:30pm and 11:30pm 8 PAGES of "new topics" were generated!
If you're not sure the coding, I can get a friend who runs a site based on IPB to share that with me ...

That's ok...if I mod the forums I would need to change it so it is an option so those who want it can have it, while those who don't , do not.

tg - I was inventorying the church because we've been robbed ... so I went around for 5 hrs getting S/N, P/N and MFG ... then I did a bit of duty on 'security' making sure only authorized people came in (basically ... no creepy, strung on drugs, kinda people).

What you want, at least in this version of IPB, requires custom hacking of the forums, which I hate to do. This is still on my list of things to look into, but no eta as of y et.

if I could get you the hack would you try to implement it? I know the Admin at TheWinForums.com ... and he might give me the hack he used for a while, to remove their "Jokes & Funny Stuff" from their list of new topics.

Yes, but I wont just remove it as others need it. I need to make it an option, which becomes a bit more difficult.
