Hiya all, having probs with IBM thinkpad running xp with wireless-g notebook adapter.
it was given to me by a family friend and had not been online for about 12 months, and when it did go online it crashed...once started up the whole theme is grey, start/taskbar and windows, then i get some messages..
.OdysseySupplicantMgr:: Thread() errorOn:: co register class object() (error code 0x800706ba)
then...runtime error prog C:\ProgramFiles\Wireless-G-NotebookAdapter\Odhost.exe abnormal program termination.
When I try to do a system restore it says something about its not able to protect this computer please restart and run again...which i have, but alas, no joy. There's also other things i cant do like use help and support, use search companion.
In network connections there are no networks, even when i connect my modem by the cable.
Also it says that the RPC server is unavailable. and cant open some programs or open the properties of others.
I would format but I dont want to lose my pics and have been unable to put them on my usb or move or copy them to anywhere.
As you can see I have a lot of problems, unsure if they can be fixed, hope someone will be able to help. Thank you.

All of your errors seem to point to your wireless
If it was me, I'd reformat and start over
I'm moving you to a more appropriate forum

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

How is that?
You've tried removing the hard drive from the laptop and connecting your hard drive...to another system...and temporarily moving the files to a different partitio/drive on that system...via a USB 2.0 device?
