Retrieving lost "favorites"

On my wife's computer, she accidentally deleted her Vista program. She tried System Restore but failed to get it back. So she used the installation DVD to reinstall Vista. Now is there anyway that she can get her "favorites" back that she lost.

It will be nearly impossible, seeing how you overwrote and probably reformated everything with a new install

Thank you Mark. She just tried "Recuva" and they couldn't find them so I gues you are right. It's a lost cause. Tommie
