VHS-C and VHS...are formats for VCR viewing/storage. A VCR is a composite connection device when it comes to capture/transfer to digital format.
To transmit such formats to a computer, a VCR must be used...or something that produces similar outputs via RCA cables or S-video cables.
Back when I was transferring VHS movies to my computer...I ran into a lot of copyright issues that would not allow decent transfer via VCR. Just mentioning that, since I don't know what you have in mind.

I thought...that VHS-C was the format requiring the adapter to play those tapes in a VCR.
