Hi Everyone,

Im in real need of some assistance pls - Very sry in advance if im in the wrong place.

Ive already been in contact with someone in the Virus section and cleaned my computer to see if that would solve this problem but unfortunately it didnt - so ive been asked to come here instead

Just recently everytime i turn my printer on - or plug my iphone in via usb - my computer freezes dead.
The computer / the mouse / the keyboard / all of it just frozen.

I tried pressing the windows button on the keyboard and nothing happend - so i tried EVERY button on the keyboard and nothing happened - then thats when i realised that upon pressing "Caps Lock" and "Num Lock" that there were no lights showing they were on so figured the keyboard had died too.

The only way i can do anything is to turn the computer off via the shut down button on the tower.

Once restarted it works fine until i go to use the printer again lol

Does anyone know if it might be just something silly i might of done myself?

Any help will be much appreciated - Cheers Ratbleep

Make and model of the printer, please
What operating system are you using?
It's connected by USB, I assume?

The printer will run by itself without the iphone plugged in correct?
Have you tried different USB plugs?
When you plug in you iphone is it just to sync software or is it charging also?
Open your Device Manager and look for yellow exclamation points or red X's by the USB hub controllers

Hi Garmanma - I'm all fixed

I checked the device manager and everything was fine.

I changed the printer USB plug to a different port and put my iphone into the top port on the front of the tower and all was fine - nothing froze B)

The strange thing is - only last week i used the printer and everything worked fine

Do u think a virus might of corrupted one of the ports?

Ty sooooo much for your help - It's really appreciated
