I might crossfire/sli so do you guys suggest a 1000w PSU instead, or even higher? Is this a good one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817182188, its 155 after the promo code is entered. Also is a 10000 RPM HDD not worth it? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136296 Thanks

The amount of power you need depends on the video cards, a 600W PSU is suggest for a dual Crossfire configuration with two 5870's. However, it is usually a good idea to get about 100W over what they suggest. I stick to a few brands when it comes to power supplies: Corsair, PC Power, OCZ, and Silverstone. The CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W or the SILVERSTONE ST85F 850W would make good choices. With SSD's on the market, the 10000RPM drive is not necessary, IMO.

Ok I was just wondering can I put the OEM version of windows 7 on this current PC that I'm using and then on my new pc that I will be building? Also with the monitor you linked me I notice that its 20000:1 contrast ratio and some of the others are 50000:1 like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...5-126-_-Product does it really matter? Thanks.

OEM and Retail licenses are meant for a single PC. If you want to put Windows 7 on two computers, you must buy two copies. There are volume license packs where you can get three or thirty activations with a single product key. Contrast ratio's are popular for being twisted by marketers. What you should look for is static or native contrast ratio, which few companies actually publish. The huge number you see there is dynamic ratio. That number can be achieved by dimming the backlight of the LCD but some people find that distracting.

Hey you guys I haven't got the whole PC yet but I did just receive the hard drive and I was wondering if it was okay to test if it works in my current system. Also do I need to reformat it and how do I go about doing that? Thanks guys.

Get the Asrock one, it's great for the price!

There are several ways to format a disk. You can use a third party tool from the net to do it. Or, you can allow Windows to format the drive when you go to install the OS. The full retail and OEM copies all have the ability to format and partition the disk.

Hey guys I don't know if you're still around but earlier I tried putting my new PSU into this computer and after everything was hooked up and I powered on the PSU came on and looked to be running fine, and my CPU heatsink was on but my monitor would not turn on. I am positive that I had everything plugged up right, can one of you guys help please.

Can you post the actual parts you bought? If you went SLI/CF try 1 card at a time, also try a different PCI-E slot and also try the other port on the back of the GPU there's probably 2 of them. And if your mobo has onboard video try it plugging the screen into it.

Also, small request  But could you maybe take pics of the inside of your build and post it on here so I can get a look?
